Center experts participate in the “Co-Creation Workshop” seminar within the framework of the ITU global initiative for Digital Development
Prof. Dr. Përparim Alikaj, expert for Mineral Raw Materials at the Albanian Regional Innovation Center contributed with discussions to the two-day “Co-Creation Workshop” seminar organized on April 17-18 by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy-MIE in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at the TUMO premises, Tirana.
The seminar was held within the framework of participation in the ITU global initiative for Digital Development, in implementation of the Development Plan approved at the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-2020), as well as within the framework of the preparation by ITU of a report on the “Digital Innovation Profile (DIP)” for Albania.
ITUO is the United Nations specialized agency for telecommunications and Information and Communication Technology. Albania has been a member state of ITU since 1922, and MIE is the ministry responsible for telecommunications and the ITU focal point for Albania.
During the two-day workshop, ITU experts presented the methodology applied for the preparation of the “Digital Innovation Profile” of the countries, as well as the initial findings of the experts. Through interactive sessions and the contribution of all actors operating in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and digital development, the activity facilitates the preparation of the “Digital Innovation Profile (DIP)” report for Albania.
