Presentation on “Airborne Geophysics in Mineral Exploration” at the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), Podgorica, Montenegro

Prof. Perparim Alikaj, Senior Expert in Raw Materials at EIT RawMaterials Albanian Regional Innovation Center, had a presentation  at  the workshop “Network of All Mobility Actors,” as part of the IPA South Adriatic SOFTMOVE project. The event took place on October 23 at the University of Donja Gorica (UDG), Podgorica, Montenegro.

The focus of this event was on innovations in sustainable urban mobility. The workshop explored how drones and space technologies could transform climate-resilient, intermodal transport systems. The event brought together experts from Italy, Albania, Montenegro, and more, creating an inspiring platform for collaboration and next-gen mobility solutions for startups and innovation in Drone Technology.

In his presentation on “Airborne Geophysics in Mineral Exploration,” Prof. Alikaj emphasized the game-changing potential of Airborne Geophysical Surveys (EM, Magnetics, Radiometrics) at a 1:25,000 scale for the rapid, cost-effective discovery of new mineral deposits, as well as contribution for studies in hydrogeology, engineering geology, environmental issues etc. In addition to helicopters surveys, drones can be utilized also for these purposes.

Prof. Alikaj had the opportunity to engage in fruitful discussion and questions with experts from the region, including representatives from public institutions, companies, universities, and startups.
